By participating in this event we hope you take away a strong sense of accomplishment knowing your contribution is making a real and direct, life-changing impact on the lives of veterans and homeless dogs.
Race Day Arrival & Packet Pick-Up
Race check-in opens on race day Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 7 am. The K9 Partners 5K Run Walk begins at 8 am. It all takes place at:
Anderson Snow Sports Complex
1360 Anderson Snow Rd
Spring Hill, FL 34609
Run/Walk starts at Anderson Snow Sports Complex, proceeds down the Suncoast Trail to County Line Road and back to Anderson Snow Park.
Not mandatory, but we would like everyone to wear a shirt displaying a branch of the military as a demonstration of support for our nationâs veterans and active service members.
PARKING
Use parking lot closest to the trail. There will be signs pointing you in the right direction.
HYDRATION & FOOD
Plenty of water will be provided throughout the race. There will be water stations at the start, half-way point and end. Post-race food and snacks will also be provided.
PARTICIPANTS WITH PUPS
Please be sure your dog’s well acclimated to this activity. We encourage dog boots as the Suncoast Trail is asphalt paved. Even if the weather is cool, asphalt can wear pup pads quickly and lead to injury. There will be water bowls for dogs however, you should bring water for your dog on the trail to be sure they stay well hydrated.
Suncoast Trail Rules require that dogs be licensed and on a 6-foot leash.
SHIRTS, BIBS, MEDALS & SWAG
Everyone will receive a Bib, T-shirt, and SWAG when you check-in. Everyone receives a finisher’s medal at the end of the race.
ANYONE CROSSING THE FINISH LINE WITHOUT A BIB WILL NOT RECEIVE A MEDAL!
RUNNERS
You will receive a chipped bib and are eligible for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals and prizes.
WALKERS
You will receive an un-chipped bib and will receive a finishers medal at the end of the race.
