22 Veterans Are Lost to Suicide Every Day.
Together, We Can Save Lives.
For veterans battling PTSD, isolation and hopelessness feel like a losing battle. Many face these invisible wounds of war alone.

Empowering Veterans, Restoring Independence, One Service Dog at a Time
Our unique, veteran-centered approach places service members with PTSD, TBI, and MST at the heart of the training process from day one, creating a lasting bond of trust, strength, and support. By pairing veterans with rescue dogs and guiding them through a six-month training program, we empower them to reclaim independence, purpose, and mental wellness.

Profound and Far Reaching
Our impact is profound and far-reaching. By uniquely pairing rescue dogs with veterans, we create bonds that transcend words, leading to healing, companionship, and mutual rescue. Our transformative 6-month service dog training program, led by certified instructors, guides veterans in turning these rescue dogs into their personal service animals, paving the way for independence and emotional well-being.
Thanks to Our Loyal Donors & Partners
Beyond the tangible benefits of these canine companions, we’ve built a resilient community rooted in compassion, strength, and a shared belief in the extraordinary healing Power of the Paw. Together, we are rewriting the stories of veterans’ lives, fostering positive change, and championing the transformative potential within the unique connection between veterans and their service dogs.
Our Mission
K9 Partners for Patriots is dedicated to preventing veteran suicide and fostering hope for those battling PTSD, TBI, and MST. Through the unique bond formed while training their service dogs, we guide veterans from self-doubt to renewed confidence, promoting mental wellness through in-house counseling and reconnection in a supportive community.
Fiercely Family
In this sanctuary, the term “family” takes on a broader meaning. Veterans who may have once felt isolated or misunderstood now find themselves surrounded by peers who share their journey. And alongside these warriors are their steadfast companions — the service dogs who have proven time and again that even in the darkest moments, there is light to be found in the bond between a person and their loyal, furry friend. Together, they create an environment that is fierce in its determination to heal, to support, and to thrive.
I thank you for all that you are doing! It brings me to tears to know how much these rescue dogs are helping. ~ Donna, Support Partner

What Our Program Veterans Are Saying
Meet Our Veterans & Their Service Dogs
Omar & Bruno
“I don’t know where I would be today if It weren’t for K9PFP. A year and a half ago, I was in a very dark place and couldn’t see any way out or see any light at the end of the tunnel. I learned about K9PFP from a person who has benefited from the program. Fast forward to some more nth later, I was partnered with my Service Dog Bruno, and after a lot of hard work and dedication, we graduated from the program in April 2023. Today (April 2024), we just got our recertification and are super happy. I am no longer in a dark place, and I am well and alive. I pray that many veterans find their way to K9P4P and get the help they need for many years to come. Thank you, K9P4P”.

Understanding PTSD
The thing about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is it’s invisibility. Its effects torment the veteran, as well as the family and friends closest to them.
The Battle That Never Ends
K9 Partners for Patriots matches a prescreened service dog to a vet with PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, and/or Military Sexual Trauma. There is never a charge to the vet for anything.
