Protecting the Integrity of Service Dogs

Service Dogs Are Not For Sale
A fully trained service dog is not a commodity.

Protecting the Integrity of Service Dogs
At K9 Partners for Patriots, we believe in upholding the highest standards of service dog training and public trust. Our dogs are trained to perform life-saving tasks for veterans with PTSD, TBI, and MST. That’s why we are deeply committed to preventing the misrepresentation, resale, or improper rehoming of our program dogs.
We Do Not Evaluate Dogs for Third Parties
K9 Partners for Patriots does not offer temperament evaluations or personality testing for the public or outside organizations. Our evaluations are conducted exclusively for dogs being considered for acceptance into our Service Dog Training Program.
Misrepresentation
If you see a dog listed for sale or adoption claiming to have been “evaluated” or “personality tested” by K9 Partners for Patriots, that is a misrepresentation.
This false use of our name creates confusion and can place people—and dogs—at serious risk. It also undermines the trust we work so hard to build between service dog teams and the public.
If you encounter such a listing, please report it to us so we can investigate.
Only dogs that have passed our internal temperament test and are actively enrolled in our program—under the direct care of our trainers and veterans—can be considered part of our service dog pipeline.

Service Dogs Are Not For Sale
A fully trained service dog is not a commodity. Selling or advertising a trained service dog on social media not only violates ethical and legal standards—it puts the safety of the dog, the public, and people with disabilities at risk.
Report Misuse or Misrepresentation
If you see one of our dogs being advertised for sale or rehoming, or if you suspect a dog is being falsely represented as a service animal, please report it immediately by submitting the form below.
All reports are confidential.

What You Should Know
- A service dog cannot display aggression. If it does, it is no longer suitable for service work.

- Misrepresenting a dog as a service animal may be a violation of state or federal law.
Our Commitment
